career workshop image CPP understands that well-trained and well-equipped counselors provide the best advice and guidance for students and clients, and we are continually offering workshops that provide insights on how to administer the MBTI® and Strong assessments with confidence and creativity.

Our workshops are designed for career counselors and academic advisors who support college and high school students, as well as all other practitioners who help clients with career decisions. The workshops are facilitated by experienced practitioners and CPP authors and competitively priced at $85 per person and workshop.

“Counseling to Type: Motivating Students and Clients Through Individualized Career Counseling”*

Learn to increase students' motivation by adapting counseling strategies to type preferences. Workshop topics include:

Review of type basics
Counseling strategies for individual preference pairs

Using the function pair Z model in the job search
Strategies for verifying unclear type

“Taking Career Counseling to the Next Level – Career Development Combining the Myers-Briggs® and Strong Assessments”*

Provide your clients and students with a complete career development picture based on a combined interpretation of their interests and personality. Workshop topics will include:

Overview on individual assessments
Research that ties MBTI® and Strong instruments together
Case studies - when everything fits, when nothing fits, and everything in-between
Hands-on activities combining the assessments

“Career Development Using the Revised Strong Interest Inventory® Assessment”*

Get strategies and techniques to administer and interpret the revised Strong instrument to the best of your clients and students. The workshop will feature:

Additions, enhancements, and modifications to the revised Strong
General Occupational Themes, Basic Interest Scales, Occupational Scales, and Personal Style Scales
Strategies and techniques for interpreting the revised Strong

*Please Note: This is not an MBTI or Strong Interest Inventory qualifying course. If you are not associated with an accredited school, or have not taken a course in tests and measurements, completion of a qualification course would still be a prerequisite to purchasing the MBTI and Strong assessments, even if you attend this workshop.
